Community Engagement

The MAPC Community Engagement Department supports municipalities in integrating residents' input into policy and planning projects. The Department's work is centered around engaging those who have not historically had a seat at the table in planning and policymaking throughout the MAPC region.

Hosted Four Community Engagement Conversations in 2024

Beginning on September 19, 2024, MAPC's Community Engagement Team launched a series of virtual monthly Community Engagement Conversations that will go through May 2025. 

Each monthly conversation covers a different community engagement focused topic.

Launch of MAPC's Language Access Guide

In February 2024, the Community Engagement Team launched MAPC's first ever, Language Access Guide for Municipalities

The Guide is a collection of ideas, tools, and resources to offer a central starting point to support municipalities as they begin to build a foundation of language access within their own communities. 

2024 Awards and Accomplishments

Release of Inaugural Subregional Annual Report

In late 2024, MAPC released its first annual Subregional Report. The Report highlights the work of the eight Greater Boston Subregions during 2024, provides information about the subregions, and looks ahead to 2025.
